Aspirational Cables

This week I found myself spending a little too much time on aspirational cables. Which means I was planning my next projects rather than finishing my current ones. Obviously I’m lacking motivation. So I’ve stopped feeling bad about my roaming eyes.

So I’ve made a short list, which in itself was an effort. And now, I’m stuck. Help me choose. Please!

Looking at my choices, I can now see a real pattern emerging – excuse the pun. Cables, green and more cables. And I did not set out to choose a green cabled jumper! Perhaps my subconscious is trying to tell me something…

  1. KITTY’S BLAZE LOKS GREAT TO ME

I vote for the first and the third.

    • First is my total favourite. I looked it up on Ravelry and everyone talks about the pattern being full of mistakes. I’m a bit put off as cables are confusing enough without having to rewrite the pattern whilst undoing the cables.

I think you would look great in Freija- it is so different and you are so stylish you could rock it.

I would go for the Freija. It’s so unique, and very high fashion.

  5. I always like the elegant look of Silken Scabbard, but the Bernat one has some gorgeous classic cables too!

I’ve been cabling on the big loom I got from you. Just attempted my first cross over. No idea if it’s worked as it’s still hidden in the loom. Fingers crossed. Nothing as complex as these designs though, just simple vertical ropey looking cables.
